Making a playlist on Sansa Fuze+?

Has anyone been able to make a playlist on the Fuze+ without having to sync with Windows Media Player? I dragged and dropped my music files directly to the fuze. I have tried constructing the playlists using WinAmp and saving them to the fuze as .m3u lists in the playlist directory. When I try to use them, they come up empty. The playlist looks correct. It has the file paths in the following format:

..\Music\artist\album\song.wma

Should it be different. I have tried putting the playlist in the Music directory without the ..\Music\. That did not work either

Would appreciate any help anyone could give me.
