Default My new MP3 player

Hi everyone.

I'm new around these parts, but wanted to share!

Having previously owned the original iPod Mini (long ago) and an iPod Touch more recently, I decided I needed something ultra portable. The battery in the old iPod Mini died years ago and the Touch is just too big to carry around everywhere.

I found this little Philips GoGear player. It is only a cheap model, no frills. But it is very compact (my main requirement) and sturdy. Unlike some delicate players this doesn't feel like it's going to snap in half in my pocket! The 4 GB storage is enough for my portable music needs. The screen is small, but functional. The battery lasts for hours and hours. I have had it over a week and it's still going on its first full charge! It has Philips "FullSound" technology which has gotten good reviews and therefore the sound quality is very good. A lot better than the iPod Touch.

Anyway here is my new baby, and this thing is really very tiny!

Of course I had to treat it to a new pair of earphones - so I went for a pair of Sennheisers

All in all, very happy with it so far.

There's no expansion slot unfortunately. But I find that this capacity suits me fine for an ultra-portable. I can fit everything I need on it but I know a lot of people have much bigger music collections.

I tried the muse, and unlike the Ariaz, it has no real 5 band EQ. It has a stupid button sound adjustment feature instead, and it's made to feel damn cheap. Also, the touchscreen is resistive - but low quality and unresponsive. The viewing angles are pretty shoddy. Back to listening to my RB'd fuze - and the muse get's RMA'd in the morning.

FWIW I'd still own the Ariaz IF it had a micro SD card slot,...
