I wouldn't know anything about a View but not giving any detail beside "White lines in my screen started to come out" doesn't give anyone anything to work with. You probably want to list what what's going on in detail.
You may have to be patient after that. I don't see many View users discussing their DAPs here so it may be a while before anyone see this that can help.

Oh... This...
I'm sorry, but if you're describing what I THINK you're describing, you're SoL. Is your problem that when you turn it on, you get lines of varying colors going across the screen? This happened to a friend of mine three times with Sansa players (m100, e280, View) and I think it's hardware failure. What happens when you plug it in? More specific info would be helpful. Oh, and I just remembered, all three occurred to him after sitting on the player with it at an odd angle or dropping from about waist height onto a wood floor. |

So your computer still picks it up, and you can still read/write it?
Sounds like a screen issue, IMO. |

I don’t completely understand the state it’s in from your description but it sounds as if the screen is starting to go or has already gone. I get a similar thing on my e200 screen now after many years of use, so I opened mine up and tightened the connectors and have managed to keep it running. On the other hand if it’s bricked or going in that direction this thread should help or give you some ideas. Aside from this I can't help, I never owned the view, good luck.

I already told you this, but for someone else that may see this...
It sounds like a hardware failure. Short of doing like WalkGood said and opening it up and fiddling with connections and whatnot, you're screwed. The problem doesn't sound like it's with the software or firmware or anything like that. The problem's more complex. |

That's pretty much what I was saying. Unless you know how to open it up and diagnose your problem yourself. Which doesn't sound like it's the case. Might I suggest a Fuze? They're selling them on SanDisk's website right now.
Much luck, I bid you adieu. |
