OK, well, I don't know what happened but there's these files on my fuze that has a date of 1980 (which is weird because computers weren't really around during that time and I wasn't even born yet!), I tried to delete them, but it says that they can't be found (well obviously, since they're from 1980!). Does anyone know how I can delete them, because I think they're taking up room on the player. Screenshot:

I recently became a happy owner of a refurbished Fuze unit which started playing tracks from albums (with cover art) that I did not put there. Nothing found in th eusual searches but I finally found them lurking under the "Playlist" folder. Maybe go there and delete straight from the Fuze.

Thanks DaddyC, but this player is not refurbished, I've had it since January of 2009, I can't find the files on the player itself, only when it's hooked up to the computer. I should add that nothing on the player is corrupted and everything plays fine, I just can't delete these files from 1980!

Well if you format it you can start from scratch.
If the files are protected I think you can turn that off and then delete them? |

Right click>Properties. Uncheck Read-only or Hidden. See if that helps. Also, what happens if you try to cut it?
