Hi guys. I received a used Zen vision M this morning through ebay and the seller said that it was working fine apart from it taking a few minutes to shut down. Has anyone experienced this? And what can I do (if anything) to rectify this? Thanks
![]() Edit: I've reformated and cleaned the disk to no avail. It's taking about 12 minutes to shut down.

What about if you use the automatic shutdown option (I don't remember the name exactly, I don't have my zen with me) that makes the unit shudown automatically after a few minutes when it's on pause!
Does it take 12 minutes? |

The option is located user
System>Player Settings>Idle shutdown. The minimum time is 5 minutes. After you press pause, the player should shutdown automatically after 5 minutes. Let me know how it goes. Good luck. |

Thanks for your reply; even using idle shut down it still takes about 12 minutes. It's weird though sometimes when I shut it down it shuts down instantly, shuts down within 5 minutes or takes 12-15 minutes. I wonder if it'd be more likely to be the battery or the hard drive that's causing the problem?
