I'm looking at getting a few of the 4.0 models for my fiance and I but I have a question about the chargers. The USB chargers that come with it obviously will work for at home, but I'm looking for one for our two cars and one for work. Can anyone tell me the power output of the home chargers so I can find a USB car/wall charger with the same or similar specs?
I also noticed in another thread that people were saying their device lost power while using GPS even when plugged in. Is this simply unavoidable or is the result of having a charger with a lower power rating than the official ones? Thank you. |

All USB chargers work with all USB devices, no worries. All deliver the required 5 volts - just make sure to get one that delivers more than 500mA, then the device will charge faster than with a lower mA charger.

So good chargers will be 5 volts and 500mA?
Sorry if this was a dumb thread... |

Regular chargers are around 300-500mA (same current as USB ports on computers provide). More than 500mA would be better. I generally only use 1000mA chargers with all my USB devices.

All of the above stated is correct. The output specs for the included adapter/charger for the [US] Galaxy 4 Player is 5V @ 700mA.
