A845 display-date and year?

The date and year does'nt seem to show up on the display. Though there's a setting for date, month and year, it only shows time. It's quite lame to ask this one :P but is there an option to enable it?

No, there isn't. I just checked mine and while I can set the time and date (and in different formats, like day/month/year or month/day/year and 12 hour or 24 hour clock), there is no option to display the date as well as the time.

It's odd, but other players do that as well. The Clip+ doesn't show time or date, and you can still set them.

It's not that odd. Copy protected/DRMed files needs the time and date set. It's one of the reasons some MTP enabled library software have the option to set the date and time on the player. If the date and time don't agree your files may stop working at the wrong time.

Having never dealt with a copy-protected or DRMed anything, this is news to me.

Fuck DRM and copy-protection.
