GPS Button/Widget?

All the GPS widgets I've tried send you to the settings menu to turn GPS off and on. The pull down menu turns GPS off and on without going to settings. Is there a Widget that will do the same? I prefer a home-screen "one click" button to turn GPS on.

Not sure if the Galaxy players have this but on my Galaxy phone I can add a power control widget to my home screen to accomplish this.

Yep, we have it too on SGP.

I have it (just long press add widget Power Control), but I only want the GPS widget, not the long ugly non-configurable stock widget.

Tcat, if you have full access to the Android market, typing GPS Widget shoud get you the one that is needed.

Yea, that's what I was doing but I don't have it... Ooh well,I got one that I like a lot off the market.

Lots of results. The first by "curvefish" does not work. Can anyone post a link to one that works?

The actual widget is GPS onoff

That's the one (of many) I tried. I tried it again, definitely does not work. Does not even switch to on when you manually turn on GPS. Does not turn GPS on if it is off, nor does it turn it off if GPS is on.

The pull down works, and Power Control works without going to settings, no individual 3rd party one seems to work.

On my galaxy phone the widget works flawlessly, so chances are the app needs to be updated for compatability purposes. Either that or it might require a signal to function. Did you try enabling wifi before useing it?

My wifi is pretty much on all day. I tried everything with GPS, played with GPS on and off, no go (it's green light goes on, but nothing....) I've read a lot of devices are not compatible with it. Just seems if the system widget bar works fine, should be easy to get a compatible individual one.
