Well, I'm back with another question. I guess this means that I like the help I get here on the ABi forums
. So far I've really enjoyed my SGP 4.0 but the one main thing that has been bothering me has been the backround hiss in the audio. Maybe it's my IEMs (SoundMAGIC E10s) but it is very annoying, almost as bad as the 60Hz hum I get from my computer's audio out. I tried to install the VoodooControlApp-1.0.7.apk (I'm picking the right app to install, right?) but when I start it up I get the message "sorry, this phone doesn't run a kernel supporting extended sound controls". I'm pretty sure I have to root my Galaxy Player to install the Voodoo Control app, but I'm not sure what the best way to do that is. This is my first experience with Android so I'm rather unsure on how to proceed. Any suggestions would be welcome!-EDIT- I'm downloading the app from http://dl.project-voodoo.org/apps/ SC20111231-122007.jpg

even if rooted you still need a custom kernel where the support to run has been added, which right now the only one is Steve's Custom Kernel (see the sticky thread on it), but it will only work on the EU (international) version of the 4.0 so if you have the korean or USA version (like me) your S.O.L.

Ok, well, guess I'll have to wait for the brilliant people on the XDA forums to create a custom kernel for the US version! Thanks for your help!
