Did anyone else get a SGP5 update last week?

Did anyone else get a SGP5 update last week? There was a notification on my SGP5 on Friday about a Samsung system update. Can't remember what else it said about what it fixed.

Noticed new icon for Samsung Smartview, and also remember something about samsung market.

I just noticed that my new (3 days old) SGP5 had a update for Samsung Smart View (red circle 1 on app icon). I did the update and it appears to have installed: Samsung Ad Utility, Samsung Push Service, and Samsung Smart View.

I don't know if this was a good thing or bad thing, but whats done is done

That's not a REAL update, just an APP update. You'll have the SGP forums all worked up for nothing.

The ONLY way to update the OS is through Kies (Samsung's computer client), and currently that's it. Unless, you load a custom ROM for it. I'm unsure if there's any available ATM,...but there WILL be.

Yup, sorry about that. I blew right past the "Samsung System Update" part.

As my son would say "My Bad". I simply say.... Oop's!!
