The album art have to be out of compression and have to be in tag as Front Cover

I'm sorry to disturb you guys here, but the same problem does occur also for yp-m1 (very similar to R0/R1), except i'm using it via ubuntu and not windows.
All cover tags are already CF

In the playing screen and album list screen no cover
but some albums art actually show up. I dunno why the others don't

I think I found the problem
The problem, mainly, is puddletag. The program only support ID3 v2.4 because of MUTAGEN (the tagging lib used)
Infact i did some control under windows with Mp3Tag and (FOR NOW) i can confirm the anomaly.
I'll do some others testing with others songs and album and I'll tell you asap.

Album arts are not supported with the formats WMA, OGG, AAC and FLAC.
This well-known issue cannot be fixed with a new firmware, it's due to the platform specifications...

PS: you have classical music encoded in WMA 64kbps, it shoud hurt any ear You should not encode your songs at less than 128kbps and classical music rather deserves mp3 VBR V0 or CBR 320kbps

Thank you for the explanation. Yes, I would like to use Vorbis or Flac recordings. BUT I would also like to have album art displayed on my R0.

Is it possible, for instance, to include a "dummy" MP3 file in the folder of flac files. This MP3 file would be prep'ed with the required ID3 tag containing the album art. The MP3 audio content could be zero (or of very short) length.

If this is likely to be an option, I would still need some help to create such a cover_art.mp3 file.

...well the album art is displayed file by file (not a single file in a folder gives the cover for the whole folder content)

And remeber: there are at least 20 types of id3 "cover" images! (EasyTAG shows them separated)

wich is a real shame. :/
firmware looks up for jpg,gif,tiff (what ever) in the played folder and
at least selects the first to display as a "cover".
for every audio file wich resides.
preferably selecting the information in the tag.
