Default Video encoding software with batch job adding

I want to re-encode all of my videos to a single codec so that my ex-wife doesnt have any issues playing them for my kids when they are with her. it is something like 50 movies in an organized Dir structure. I want to set the video settings, point it to a folder and say "add all to encode queue". Anybody have one they can recommend? Playback will be from a USB drive attached to a Panasonic BD75 bluray player. I plan on doing some compression since they don't care about quality as much as I do.
