![]() Windows Phone’s built-in Twitter functionality is great for quickly sending out a tweet or checking replies, but when you need to do more with the social network, it’s generally best to turn to a dedicated Twitter app. That’s where Rowi comes in. Developed by Hidden Pineapple, Rowi is arguably one of the best—if not the best—Twitter client on Windows Phone. Now, at long last, Rowi 2.0 has finally been released, bringing with it some long-awaited features. Rowi 2.0’s marquee feature is support for Windows Phone 7.5 “Mango,” adding fast-app switching, smooth scrolling, and much more. The app does, however, include a whole slew of other high-profile features, such as a brand-new quick-access context menu, unread status indicators on tweets which are intelligently marked as read as you scroll through your timeline, and support for pinning across the board, including timelines, new tweets, new #nowplaying tweets, new messages, and searches. Thankfully, the developers didn’t stop there. Direct message conversations are styled like the Messaging app, conversation view makes catching up on a topic a snap, and in-line photo previews make Rowi’s timeline very glance-and-go. One of Rowi’s strongest selling points is its lightning-fast toast notifications, and these have improved in Rowi 2.0. It’s also the first app on Windows Phone to support Readability. Of course, this long list is just the tip of the iceberg. The full change log can be found on the Hidden Pineapple website. Warning: it’s a very long list. Best of all, 22 of those features were specifically requested by users. As a beta tester, it’s easy to forget just how far Rowi has come since its last iteration. The app is available for free on the Windows Phone Marketplace, but those that want additional features like push notifications and an add-free interface should pick up the premium version, which is currently on sale for $0.99 (66% off the regular price). There’s never been a better time to jump on the Rowi bandwagon. Do you currently use Rowi? If not, what’s your favorite Windows Phone Twitter client? [Hidden Pineapple: Rowi]
