Nokia Lumia 900 selling well on AT&T, Amazon

With the long-awaited Nokia Lumia 900 finally available, many are wondering just how well it’s doing in the market. Well, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that the device has actually topped Amazon’s “Best Sellers in Cell Phones with Service Plans” chart, holding both the number one (black) and number two (cyan) spots just two days after it was released.

In fact, the Lumia 900 has even made an appearance on the “Cell Phones and Accessories” chart, a feat difficult for most smartphones to achieve. According to Forbes, the original Motorola DROID managed to make its way into the top 30 in December 2009. The black Lumia 900, by comparison, is currently sitting at #32. The Seattle-based online retail giant also considers the device to be one of its “Movers & Shakers,” garnering the largest gains in Amazon sales rank over the past twenty-four hours.

I visited my local AT&T store today and was pleased to see the Nokia Lumia 900 sitting right next to the iPhone, complete with multiple large banners and other advertisements around the store. The AT&T reps, while not completely ecstatic about Windows Phone, certainly had positive things to say about it. One rep informed me that many customers have been asking for the “new Nokia phone.” This, along with Amazon’s sales rankings, seems to bode well for Nokia’s success.

I think you guys will really like it. I picked up the black Lumia 900, and I'm really loving it. Plus, the phone is essentially free now.

And, I got the cyan model. It'll be in a case 99% of the time anyways, but I wanted something different.
