Default Free .VOB video conversion software?

Hey all,

I have a DVD ripped to my hard drive through a program called DVD Decrypter. I ripped the DVD in "IFO" mode, and all went well.

I can play the VOB file in VLC media player just fine. However, my iPod doesn't read VOB files.

Is there free software that will convert the VOB files into an iPod-compatible video format?

Also, would it be possible to convert the video file to MP3 files as well?

Thanks for the help !

-McD

StaxRip, Xvid4PSP - and a million others, but those two are my favorites for quick quality conversions - both have well tuned iPod presets.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

I used Freemake's iPod Touch preset, and it worked perfectly. I could even join together the separate VOB files .

You don't have to join the VOBs if you set DVD Decrypter to not split them to begin with.
