NWZ-S765 MDR-EX83 earphones

Since getting this player a few months back, I have been using my Sennheiser cx300's, and never opened the included MDR-EX83's. The cx300's are now starting to act up (donkeys years old), so I was after any opinions about the MDR-EX83's, mainly if they're likely to be a country mile away from my cx300's in sound quality. If that is the case, I will leave them sealed and start saving for something else to replace the cx300's.
