An enterprising modder has figured out a way to charge the Nokia Lumia 800 wirelessly, using the HP Touchstone Charging Dock for Palm devices. It’s a fairly complicated procedure, and requires the phone to be almost completely taken apart and modified accordingly. The entire process took more than twelve hours, but the end result is impressive.
This isn’t something the average consumer will attempt to do—or should attempt to do—but it is fun to see the various ways in which enthusiasts have managed to customize their Windows Phones. Would you be willing to crack open your Windows Phone, voiding the warranty and risking potential damage, just to add something like wireless charging?
