Thanks to the tips of ABI I am the proud owner of a Sandisk Sansa Fuze and Phonak Audeo PFE. But I also have an Android Smartphone ( LG Optimus One P500) that sounds horrible!
I wonder if I can increase the audio quality with an APP to ditch the stock mp3 player, but I'm skeptical. I was also considering the purchase of a new Android smartphone and I was curios about the Beats by Dr Dre audio in the HTC line of phones. Also I would consider the New Sony Xperia U because I enjoyed listening to the walkman series of mobiles (5 years ago..) Any TIPS ? Why can't ABI also has some review about smartphones? |

Go try (as we've suggested many time's before) one of the music apps from the Play Market. I was partial to PowerAMP. And, welcome to ABi!!!

I can't comment on this question with confidence but the beats audio is a bit over rated. Here is the One X sound output compared to the Galaxy s III which is about to be released (the GS3 has a Wofman alpha chip which is very similar to what the clip+ use):
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_gala...view-759p7.php The first galaxy S has a wolfman alpha DAP and Motorala phones are suppose to have very good sound quality as well. |

The beats branding is nothing special. It isn't like you should avoid it, just don't think it is superior to others. Search the forum for "best android app that improves sound the most" and you should find a thread with a title along those lines that delves into your question a bit deeper.

Thanks for the quick responses. Back in the days I try to listen to a Motorola V6 Maxx. That was painfully horrible. So I'm a bit underconfident about motorola.

The SQ of the latest Motorola phones nowadays is quite good. That thing you had is not even worth comparing to ANY Motorola phone of today. That was a good 6 years ago. Motorola sound fantastic nowadays.
