Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had some info on the custom EQ settings. Well, the clear bass is quite obvious but I don't understand what 0.4, 1.0, 2.5, 6.3, 16KHz bars are for. I know that they are different frequencies, I guess, but I would like learn to learn to manipulate them better. I have the all frequencies to +1 currently and the sound quality seemed to have gotten better but I'd like know more. Thanks in advance.

Experiment and find settings that make your headphones & iem's sound good. Then you've solved the problem. It's all about what makes you smile.

I found this post by dfkt helpful dealing with how to work with a simple equalizer like the Sony players have. Beside the advice to trust my ears the most important part I drew from it was to lower the bands instead of raising them.
The link in that post has a chart on which frequencies correspond to what instruments. I found that helpful in finding how to bring them forward by lowering the frequency bands around them.
