SwiFTP works well for me when setting up file share between my laptop and Android, in conjunction with ES File Explorer. (I'm also trying out Ghost Commander file explorer.)

Setting up file share between Android devices is still a no-go, though there were extenuating circumstances there.

Oh, I withdraw the rec for the Night Vision camera. It didn't really work in the dark...o well. Player Pro, too. It's nice in that you can use volume to switch songs and the sound isn't horrible, but PowerAMP blows it out of the water when you take sound into consideration. Plus, the slightly greater battery usage doesn't seem excessive.

Hacker's Keyboard is also nice since it gives you a 5 line keyboard.

also maybe try StudioKUMA .nomedia Manager if the media scanning takes too long..
