![]() Nokia has reiterating its intentions to bring its PureView camera to Windows Phone. Speaking with Howard Forums, Chris Weber, President of Nokia Inc. and head of Markets in North America, stated that “[Nokia will] be bringing PureView technologies to the Windows Phone platform in future devices.” This is in line with Nokia’s previous statements. The 41MP Nokia 808 PureView is currently the only smartphone to feature this technology. It’s a Symbian device, but when you consider Nokia’s focus on Windows Phone, it’s inevitable that it will eventually arrive on Microsoft’s mobile OS. The holdup, at this point, is that Nokia needs Windows Phone to “support the broad set of things [it] wants to do with PureView imaging.” The announcement might even be made as early as the Windows Phone Summit next week, which is scheduled to bring with it the first official details about Windows Phone 8, which supposedly includes support for lens apps. Would you like to have a 41MP camera on your smartphone? Or are you happy with the current 5-8MP average? [Howard Forums via WP Sauce]
