ok. I will try later to do it all again with new files (16gb worth) this time unanalysed and just straight for the track gain.

Update: Well i have just listened to a few tracks that have been mp3gained to 94db and compared to the original untouched ones.
I listened to the loudest tracks (like the aforementioned ones in the previous pic) and at level 40 they are 'just right' (for extremely loud without distort), infact if there was a level 41 or 42 im sure they would distort at that point.
NB:- it is important to point out that the original same songs at 40 was too loud with distortion.

Then i compared some of my quietest tracks and was pleased to hear the volume increased on these songs, albeit some have an accompanied with a louder background hiss.
But volume set around 35-37 should provide the best all-round listening experience without needing to adjust the volume much i.e. put it in hold and just skip tracks via the volume buttons. And i still have room to spare to going very loud on the odd occasion
