Issue with adding favourites to i9

Ok so i have the music on the player, then i am browsing via artist or album (doesn't matter), i do a long press on the play/pause, it brings me up the menu (with the little heart and a + sign) i select it, but instead of a tick afterwards i get the 'no' sign. I can confirm the favourites are empty.

What gives?

Don't know.....never used ratings or favorites.

It's not a favourites or ratings it that sense of the word, its cowons version of making an 'on the go playlist'.

What's weird is that it can add single files to favourites, but trying an album or artist its refusing, comes up with the 'no' sign. I can confirm my favourites are empty (256 files is maximum), but still if there's no way to add albums at a time to the list then this is a major drawback.

What's weirder still is when pressing long play/pause (and it gives u the new menu) items which won't work (at certain points) will be greyed out, this favourites+ is not greyed out, it looks like it SHOULD work but isn't.
I also have enough space left on device so its not related to memory.

Update: Its looking like 1 file at a time is the best it can do for building on the fly playlists :| Is anyone familiar with the c2 or i10 with this feature?
