I think that's an awesome mod. I'm glad to hear it has held up OK for 3 months now. I would think a 2-part epoxy adhesive would be a better alternative than super-glue for long-term use.

Classy looking. I've always liked the Clip with a stainless steel clip.

While this isn't very classy looking, it works for me. I sanded down the broken hinge points, which gave the back a rough surface for the epoxy to better adhere to. I don't use the clip most of the time, so this allows me to easily remove it.

Great idea, thanks for sharing. I like that you can easily remove the clip on part. I've never repaired mine because I like the size without the clip.

With no clip it just about vanishes. I have to be really checking before putting clothes in the laundry. I've almost sent it for a swim a couple of times.
