Unhappy YP-U2 voice files - need more digits

I have a 2GB YP-U2 that I use primarily for voice memos and meeting notes. I remove and archive old files as needed to free up storage space. However, the automatic naming of voice files indexes +1 with each new file added, e.g. V123, V124, V125, etc.

In any event, my YP-U2 has reached V999 and the file naming only supports 3 digits. When I added another file, instead of "V1000", it only displayed "V___", and the actual file saved had odd characters and appeared to not be in the same voice format as all the previous files.

How do you reset the file naming to "V000" so as to start over?

Also, is there a way to change the naming format of voice files to use another let instead of "V" so that it will create unique, new file names, e.g. "X000", "X001", etc.?

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Default

You're probably the 1st person to reach this firmware limitation, nice

I assume only reinstalling firmware + format would reset that to V000.

Changing the default naming format is not possible.
