Attn Coachop94
Hi I am experiencing problems with my Zen Vision M (purchased from Gordon creative_mp3_tech)I just talked to him on the phone and he referred me to you, saying that if anybody would have an answer for me it would be you. I have a (fairly recent) Acer Aspire with Microsoft Windows 7 64 bit home premium My zen used to work just fine on it until about 3 weeks ago. My audible manager locked up / did not respond anymore so I had to uninstall (including all the files linked to it). After I reinstalled the audible manager and plugged in my zen, it started downloading a driver (did not ask anything, just started downloading and it was over in seconds). Since then my zen does not 'dock' anymore. My laptop does not 'see' that my zen is connected to the usb port so it does not show up as a drive. Audible and Windows Media Player think there is no device connected. My zen works fine (plays) and when I plug it into my laptop it charges (shows the battery and the lightning sign). I have an old Dell with Windows XP and that laptop does 'see' my Zen as soon as I connect (same cable). Problem with the old Dell is that it is excruciatingly slooooooooow! My husband also has an Acer with Windows 7 and it too 'sees' both my Zen and his own Zen as soon as they are plugged in. As far as we can judge: The Zen is OK The USB ports work fine with other devices The cable is ok since it works on the other laptops So either a file got deleted or corrupted, or the driver is bad and it does not allow for roll-back. I reinstalled with the Creative Zen disk hoping that would help, but no luck. I so hope you can help Thanks in advance |

Have you tried System Restore?
The only 'trick' I can think of is connecting the ZVM through a USB hub - in my experience Windows 7 has a habit of seeing direct (native) and indirect (hub) connections as different device sessions, thusly re-downloading any applicable drivers. You can also try the Windows NT 6.x (Vista, 7 & 8) installation files here. Just scroll down to 'Manual Selection' and submit: English Windows Vista 64-bit Application Hope any of that is of some help.
