Default Audio not in sync with video on my sgp 5.0

Hi I have a samsung galaxy player 5.0 and when I try to put on a show the default video player will have the audio and the video play at different times. I know it is not a problem with the file as it plays fine on my computer. Also I have downloaded the vlc player app for my samsung and it seems that the audio and video match up but it is VERY lag-y on the vlc. Is there any video player should I download or Is there some other way?

Much appreciated for an early reply.
Thanks, Heirthos

MX Player is the best one. I use it on the SGP 5.0 and it works like a dream.

what format video is it? it could be too high res for the player to cope with. Mine struggles with mkv files in 720p format over 3000kbps, but avi ones are no problem. I use mx player with great success also.

I think you've found the answer.

It is a mkv but its not a high format I believe. I'm not sure how to check that. The only thing is I am able to play 720p on other shows, so im not sure why this on would be a problem...

Any video converter free. Let's you select resolution bitrate file type....

I tried to post the link but it's not working for some reason.

The the link to AVC isn't working is that some software is censored by the ABi site software. That's not anything I control locally, those decisions are in the hands of the site owners.

My last experience with AVC was fairly horrible so I can't say I disagree. Admittedly that was a few years back and it may have improved since then but it left a bad taste and I'm not inclined to give it another shot at trashing my system.

TEncoder http://sourceforge.net/projects/tencoder/ worked for me rather well recently. I don't have the need for much video conversion but the little bits I've done worked well. You could also take a look at the Pazera encoders http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=2413. That link is to the Portable Freeware Collection. You may also find other freeware video converters you may want to try. They're all portable and shouldn't cause the codec and registry problems that soured me on AVC.
