Default option to keep volume same for different tracks?

hi all,

ive notice that the playback vol varies a bit for different tracks/albums as you might expect - but this means im playing with vol keys quite a bit at times :/ is there an option to govern this? ive had a dig through the RB manual and i think there was one called compressor, that sounded like it might do something like that ..maybe

thanks
dan

The real solution is ReplayGain. There are many programs that can create the replaygain tags for your files and Rockbox can read them.

FWIW, I like foobar2000 for adding replaygain tags to files. iTunes and many other programs can do it as well, but foobar is quite fast and works with virtually all possible file types.
