Default Zen Vista

I bought an HP laptop this week with Vista. I installed the software that came with my ZVM but I can't get the Zen Vision Media Explorer to work. It opens the program but just freezes. Can't close the program with out bringing up task manager to shut it down. Does anyone have a link to Creative to fix the problem or is the Zen not compatible at all with Vista?

vistas fairly new, so it might take a while for the compat firmware to be able to sync up.

The Zen OEM software does not work properly with Vista. Long story short there is a WM11 process that takes control of the Zen and does not let anything else use it.

WM11 works though, just do a sync via it.

I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of Vista. I know I can sync music via WMP 11 but how would I do the media file conversions? i.e. movies, divx, etc.

zen media explorer sucks anyway. it has so many restrictions that arent even necessary. is there a vista/windows explorer? use that instead.

I just bought a laptop with Vista and noticed the same problem. I just uninstalled explorer and downloaded and installed Mediasource 5 and its seems to be working so far.
