X5 = 14h battery life
X5L = 35h battery life, the best in any HDD player ever (it's a bit fatter than the normal X5, though) Your Amazon link is the standard X5... I just finished writing a review about the X5 - it should be on the front page in a few days.

how is the usability of the ID3 browsing with RockBox?
I currently have a Zune and an Ipod. If the experience is comparable in ease of use, I am picking up a x5 Thanks! |

Only difference is that the ID3 database has to be built on the device, cause it uses UMS/MSC mode, not MTP, like the other ID3 browsing enabled DAPs. So that means for the first time building the database takes ~20 minutes on a full 30GB X5 - after that it's negligible if you only add the occasional few albums.
