Unhappy Comic relief video on Zen V

Hi all

I have recently bought my daughter a Zev v plus and though I would treat her to the Proclaimers comic relief video.

I downloaded it to my pc - it is a .wmv and plays on windows media player without problem. But ... when I then use the video converter for Zen v+ to put it on the Zen and add the source video file, it says that the file is not a valid source video file.

The properties of the file are
type WMV file
bit rate 1876 kbps
protected Yes
size 67.1MB

How do I resolve this please ?

I guess the lack of response means there is no obvious answer.

If I can't move it to the Zen because of DRM then I guess I have wasted my money.

Thanks for reading anyway :-)

First you would need to get rid of the DRM protection. Maybe FU4WM would work?
Second you would have to convert it to a format the Zen V understands. I believe MJPEG is the only codec the Zen is able to play, but you probably received a converter application with the player.

Sorry if I can't be of any more help, I don't own any Creative player.

Never waste your money on DRM infected stuff...

If I'm not mistaken, the Zen V only plays uncompressed AVI files.
