Sometimes the female micro-usb connector died, and it must be resolder to work properly. you can disassemble the player and check if one (or more) pin(s) are disconnected from the board.

Yeah I could disassemble just fine but usb pins are really microscopic and I only have too big soldering iron for them (not that I very good in soldering in general). Maybe I'll ask some people in repairing workshops for doing it though))

Yes, you could try.. Generally the cause of the USB malfunctioning are his pins, and not the electronic controller.

Pretty funny: haven't had much time to try to repair my r0 but kept using it with micro sd, 3 days ago I noticed that usb connection started working okay as it used to)) Dunno for how long it will last, but that was sure unexpected and positively surprising))
