Anyone else having problems with Pocket Divx Encoder?

I have used pocket divx encoder as my file conversion software for as long as I have had my zvm (goin on 4 years now I think) and it has always served me well. However, out of the blue last week, it stopped converting mkv to avi, giving the error message 'mencoder.exe has stopped working' I have come to several dead ends while searching for a solution to this issue. Does anyone have any advice?
