What? Too long? Ya shoulda seen it before I edited it down.

I guess the idea that somehow, someone, in some unknown fashion, should be more proactive in protecting audiophools from themselves hit the right switch to trigger one of my walls-o-print. Considering the number of times I've seen someone who really knows their stuff get shouted down by the "only trust your ears" people that just doesn't sit right.

I believe it really is up to each person to dig in and safeguard their own wallet. The information is out there and readily available. The links I put in here don't start to represent a minor fraction of what's out there. If someone prefers to not exercise due diligence and wants to just throw money at finding what's best for their needs I can't see how you can lay that at the feet of those who have made the information available.

Probably for the same reason one will probably not waste too much time trying to convince a flat-earther that the earth is round. The evidence is already well documented.
