I have a Zen Stone mp3 player with 2GB of memory. I have an HP G7 series laptop with Windows 7. When I plug my mp3 player in, it charges, but it doesn't show up on my computer or show up on Windows Media Player. I can't download music or anything! What could be the problem?

check the drivers in pc, iirc it's a MSC device or at least the one I had was. I can't help more than that as mine died right after the warranty expired and I converted it to a flash drive ...

That didn't help me any. I tried updating all my USB ports, but nothing. I'm still looking around it though. Any other suggestions that might help in the mean time?

I have seen bad cables, have you tried a different cable or USB port? IIRC the stone connects as a USB mass storage device, so it should connect to win 7.
