Default Few Questions??

Hi am looking to buy the Zen V plus 4gb.

1. How often does it freeze.
2. Is it compataible with Itunes
3. Is it easy to put songs onto with the Firmwire stuff
4. Is the radio reception good. I know it depends on where you live
5. Roughly how many years will the battery last
6. Can you buy a battery and replace the old one if it is dead.

Thanks guys

As an owner of ALL THINGS except Ipods I have Sansa'a and Creativeís and a few others and I like the Zen V plus 4GB the best.

Yes mine does freeze once in a great while but nothing that canít be fixed by a small paper clip.

Itunes was made for Ipods so I donít even want to go there.

Ease of use is great. You can drag and drop, or use other programs. The Zen V media Explorer program that comes with it is pretty handy for a "what's in the box" item.

Hey it's a radio and its like you said, it depends on where you live. The more fringe, the less reception.

My battery is still going as if brand new after 3 1/2 months. It will last a while. Like anything else though, it will depend on how it's treated. It also can be replaced if your a little handy with electronics. Try to contact a dealer or ebay and get a broken player so you have a spare battery.

If you have the extra money and want more space Creativeís Vision M 30GB is down to $199.99 at Amazon.

The only 2 things that could be better about the V plus is,

1. The volume isnít as high as per say the Sansa's. (Sometimes needed on a plane, bus and so on) You can fix this somewhat by going into the equalizer and customizing it.

2. Customer service can sometimes be a s.o.b. to get through to.

Hope this helps....

I wouldn't even compare the sound level to the Sansa, The Sansa blows you away while the Creative's real only downfall is their sound. What I mean is the creative tends to mud over the high notes while over driving. Unless you have good headphones but even then it muds over the highs. Yes you can create a nomal sound using the custom eq. but when the bass boost is used its all for not. Sansa has great sound but the rest of this player sucks while the Creative is full of great features but falls short on the sound, Its really a hard choice sound vs. user friendly features.
