As a general rule, Macs do not work with MTP-based players at all. So far, Apple has managed to keep MTP drivers off their computers. They're probably afraid of the competition that would allow against their iPods.
However, I have heard rumor that there's a media player program available for the Mac that includes MTP support, but I have not been able to confirm that. As a worst case scenario, you can get hold of a Windows emulator for the Mac, and manage your MTP-based player through that.

There is a program called XNJB , its for OSX. I have not tried it with a zen v but my zen V:M works with it, so my guess is that it will work with the V.
best of all, XNJB is free!! |

Can you provide a link to that? If this is confirmed to work with PlayForSure Zens, I'd like to add that to my FAQ in the ZVM forum.

Sure thing:
http://www.wentnet.com/projects/xnjb/ On the site, under supported devices, they do not even list the ZVM, so who knows how many players are compatible with it. I have only tried the program with my ZVM, My g3 iBook is not my primary computer, I use windows XP; someone (with a better mac and a daily user, maybe) would need to test the compatibility of the program with more players |

I am currently trying to set up my zen v plus on the mac. I'm not there yet, but I'll let you know what it took to get it going. I hope to have it running this week.
