I had been using my wifes computer to sync my iRiver H10 20GB. She upgraded (or what ever you would call it) to Vista, shooting both herself and me in the foot. Her printer doesn't work anymore and I can't sync my iRiver.
I have another computer which I am thinking about loading XP SP2 on and using that to sync my iRiver. I can't think of there being any problems but I didn't think that there would be any problem using my laptop with XP SP1, but there is ( I can't load Windows Media Player 10). Any other unforeseen gotcha's before I progress. Software is going to cost me $160 and another hard drive is going to be about $60. |

If you have WMP 11 on the vista machine you really shouldn't be having problems. I think you don't have the USB drivers for the motherboard installed correctly. Of course that's probably a vista problem too...
