According to this post: http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14043
I have disassemble my Zen successfully, and I have unplug the battery from the motherboard. After I plug the battery connector into the slot on the motherboard, my Zen still can not work. Looks the battery is too low. Anyone has any idea how to charge it ? Zen V 4G Battery parameters: 3.7V Li-POLY min520mAh Thanks. |

Try connecting it back to the PC, and be patient. As depleted as your battery probably is, it can take several hours for your device to even show any signs of life, and probably as much as 24 hours left plugged into the computer before your device is even usable.

But I guess Zen needs a handshake with PC before being charged as the pasted thread link mentioned. And if the battery is on charge, Zen should at least commit some response like blinking the blue light, showing the charging process on the display. In addition, I don't need my battery is fully charged, I just need the power to turn on its system, so later on I can use my PC'usb to charge it. So my assumption is a long time charge can not revive it.
I will treat it as the last solution. |

Yeah, don't disassemble it yet because it will void your warranty. As ZenChick said, be patient and don't do anything stupid. Just be calm. Tried reseting it?
Hopefully my lack of help can somehow help you.

Hello,
I suggest you leave it charging for a couple of hours and maybe switch usb ports and wait again. If still nothing, try pushing that little hole (with a pin) you see on the side where you find the power switch. If still nothing, try another pc if you can find one. Windows should at least detect new hardware. If still nothing then return it. If you return it, they could give you a new one or at least fix it. just a suggestion. lorsban |
