line-in voice recorders? iriver h10? other?

hi im trying to find an mp3 player that can do line in recording and voice recording in good quality. i was looking at the h10 5/6 gb but then i think i found out it needs the dock to do line in recording is that true?

so i wanted to know if theres other iriver recorders or just plain other mp3 recorder/players that can make a good line in and voice recording,

Most have voice recorders these days, but the only line-ins I know of are the h1xx series and h3xx series. Both are fairly old, not in production anymore, but can be had on ebay.

I believe the iaudio X5 has line in, but that might require a dock as well. The real question is, why does it matter if it requires a dock or not?

gorcorps, the reason for asking if it needs a dock is that the dock for the h10 costs 40$ from the only store that i could find, and i have looked on ebay and seen none

The Cowon X5 has proper line-in recording - 320k MP3 with stock firmware and uncompressed WAV in CD quality with Rockbox installed. It really sounds good.

The Trekstor Vibez has uncompressed WAV line-in with CD quality, too...

I believe they're better than the iRiver players at line-in recording.

If you want something professional, check the Edirol or M-Audio digital recorders.
