Default Possible to use Zen hard drive for PC storage?

I have 2 different Zen units, both haven't worked for years because of the battery but talking about them earlier today gave me the realization that there are hard drives in there. 60GB of storage between them that I could use to store some video files from the computer.

Is it possible to connect and swap files from the PC to the Zen and vice versa? Sure would be great to have an extra 60GB.

I've heard of people talk about a ZIF? to USB adapter but not sure if the file structure would allow such a simple solution to solve it.

Thanks.

All ZVM drives are standard IDE 1.8″ hard drives. They'll either have pins, like the larger PATA drives, or a Zero-Insertion-Force ribbon connection. Of the three players I've handled one had pins and the other two ZIF connectors.

There shouldn't be any problem using the drives for data - if storing externally you'll just need an enclosure like so.
