Noob problem here and can't find a quick answer.

What is the "root" directory. Not finding any such animal or folder?

It's the player itself, the uppermost directory you see in Explorer.

In Explorer, I have the following folders under Cowon (K: )

Audible
Flash
Movie
Music
Pictures
Podcast
Record
System
Text
Video

In the Directory window on explorer's left side, I have obviously all the drives including

Cowon (K: ) Are you saying drag to the this? It's not a folder. Shouldn't I be able to see a folder there or something? Sorry for the noobiness.

Yes, just drop it directly on K:, not in any folder, and restart. (Unzip the file first, of course.)

No, it won't work with 3.xx. I'm sorry to say you have to convert it yourself from the 3.54 version - I sold my D2 a few days ago. It's easy to do, though.

I have just upgraded my original D2 to D2+, and it is now running D2+ firmware v3.10.

I have tried using your brilliant-looking MoreMono theme stated as compatible with the D2+, but it does not work with my D2+ v3.10 firmware. The results are a totally fuzzy and incomprehensible menu screen, following reboot.

Will you by any chance be releasing a version of this brilliant D2+ theme for firmware v3.10?

@Pipps: I know it's a 7-month old question, but I'll shoot anyway: try downloading the MoreMono for FW 3.54, then rename the D2N_rs.bin to D2N_P_RS.bin. Put the renamed .bin file in your root folder of the player, then restart. I did this successfully with FW 3.13 and I really like the theme! Thanks dkft for the great looking theme!

Glad to see my theme is still working.

dfkt, is it possible to change the 'Dictionary' icon for the 'Notepad' icon on the home screen?

I never use the dictionary, but I use the notepad every day. To change them over would be incredibly useful for me.

Hope you can help!

No, the D2 UI can just have 'cosmetic' changes - changes in functionality are unfortunately not possible.

Woot!

I just borrowed a D2 from a friend who still uses it, and of course I pestered him into installing my UI. With a distance of ~3 years of not using it, I still like it.

Don't remind me... comparing the C2 to the D2 was really *really* awkward... the D2 UI is infinitely better in every aspect.
