Hello!
This is my first post here so I'll try to make a contribution... I own a Zen V 2GB for a year now and it is terific! One thing that bothered me was the squcky sound coming from the player when I tried pushing the buttons or by just holding it. I suppose the plastic just streched from use so the sounds amplified with usage. I took care of it by removing the plastic mask with the buttons (just by using my fingernails). This exposed the green cover (2GB color). I took a cotton cue ear swab and soked it in mineral oil (does not conduct electricity). This oil is used for lubricating watches and other fine mechanics. I swabed the areas (esspecialy the edges) and the green cover. I also swabed the plastic cover (the one with the buttons) and snaped the player back together. This completly eliminated the sounds coming from the cover. Now I can go back and enjoy my zen! PS If you do this make sure that you do not soke the covers with oil, just slightly go over them with the swab. Regards |
