A broken mp3 player or just faulty?

I was listening to my black creative zen v plus when i was playing on a fitness thing, it dropped outta my pocket and landed on the bar and then fell on the floor. and when i shake it now, something rattles inside, and then it keeps going to the microphone.

did i break it or something?
how would I get it fixed?

If it rattles when shaken, or stirred and goes to microphone by itself, then I'd say the device is broken. I presume you've already tried manual reset and that didn't fix the problem.

It sounds like it might be worth sending back to Creative to see if it's repairable. I'm not sure what their policy is on accidental damage but I suspect you may have buy yourself a new DAP.
