Zune pass and software questions.

With the Zune coming out here in Canada on June 13 I am really considering it as a mp3/video player. There are a couple questions I have.

First is regarding the Zune Pass. As I understand it, after purchasing a Zune Pass you get access to the entire Zune (music) store. You can download tracks and play them on the Zune but nothing else. After 30 days DRM kicks it to prevent further plays. Is that correct?

Also, I listen to and watch a lot of podcasts. That is what the Zune would probably be doing most of the time. When podcasts at the Zune Marketplace are updated, will they automatically download if I am subscribed? Will they then automatically wirelessly sync?

DRM prevents the music you get using the Zune Pass working after you stop your Zune Pass subscription.
So basically, as long as you pay for it, you can use it, when payment stops, it stops working.

Zune pass songs playback in up to:
- 3 Zune devices or
- 3 computers or
- 3 Windows Mobile phone/devices

yeah DRM kick it to prevent further plays..but there is a *workaround* that doesnt involve breaking the drm.

Podcast sync automatically by USB and if you have the WiFi sync setup...it should do it by air. no problem

1. No, the music will last as long as you keep paying for the zune pass.
2. Yes if the zune software is left running it will automatically download and convert them to a format the zune can use.
3. Yes, they will sync automatically when you tell it to sync or leave it alone while plugged in.
