Nice, it's pretty easy too once you get the hang of it.

Ok, got the site up, still working on it. Please let me know if there is anything wrong with the site and also if there are any fonts you want me to make into a .bin
http://www.discovery.mala.bc.ca/web/.../ZVM/font.html

after talking to the owner of the site http://zvmtools.moo.no/ I created a "mirror" of his page with the files on my schools server, so it should you should get a better download speed.

Ok after further talks we've decided to keep it down to 1 site. I'm hosting all the files seperately as a mirror, links are on his page. I'm keeping http://www.discovery.mala.bc.ca/web/.../ZVM/font.html online until we sort some more things out.

From
http://www.discovery.mala.bc.ca/web/.../ZVM/font.html
"I have tested all of the following fonts on my ZVM. Fonts are linked to a nk.bin. Download the nk.bin for the desired font. Put it in C:\CtJbFW\newbin and run the Firmware Updater."

The firmware updater did not work, when i tried it comes up with message
"Update error" I thought it could be because of the fact i already had proper creative firmware installed so i done the reload firmware option and the same thing happened, what could i be doing wrong.

The directory C:\CtJbFW\newbin did not exist so i created it, was this right???

Yes you have to create that folder. The original firmware upgrader (the one from creative) copies the nk.bin to that folder temporarily then transfers it to your ZVM. Hitman modified the firmware updgrader to skip the step of copying the nk.bin to the temporary folder, and uses whatever is in the C:\CtJbFW\newbin
Thats why you have to put the nk.bin (with that name) in that folder.

Thanks for that, i have done it now, i was stupid, the folder had an extra c on the front, although it wouldn't of worked anyway as the file wasn't called nk, it was called up. But anyway works now so thanks.

And for future reference, if you're running multiple copies of Windows on separate partitions, replace C:\ with the partition you're using when running the updater.

Ok my page has been moved to the http://zvmtools.moo.no/ site. It still contains all the same stuff, the "mirror#1" links should have a faster download speed than the "download" links.

So I assume this is only for the 30gb models? I quickly tried it on my 60gb with no success.

So far its just for the 30GB model. When someone hacks the 60GB firmware updater then I should think that the tools will work. Can't say for sure though.
If you can't keep up with all the chat on epiZenter, watch this page: http://zvmtools.moo.no/ as all the tools that have been listed on epiZenter make their way onto that site with instructions on how to use them. The latest tool is a graphics editor. Doesn't actually do the editing, just extracts and inserts the .PNGs from a nk.bin

Well you can change the backgrounds since they are all .PNGs I haven't heard any talk of text colour.
An important note about the Firmware_editor is that new/updated pictures *must* be equal or less than the original picture. The program should catch this but keep it in mind.

Someone is looking into it, there are a lot of people asking about it. The guy who is looking into it needs a copy of the nk.bin (since he doesn't own one) to see if it is put together the same as the one of the 30GB ZVM. If it is most of the tools *should* apply for the 60GB, just need a new Firmware Upgrader (hacked version of Creative's one).

This is the best news I've heard in a long time. This'll give my ZVM years of new life until the hardware itself breaks.

Bob thinks that he has figured out how to transfer the nk.bin to the 60GB zen, but he doesn't own one and can't test it, so those of you looking for 60GB ZVM firmware tools, you should see if you can help out by testing tools. Just ask on epizenter.

Ok, 60GB Tools are ready its all on the site. You can use the 30GB .BIN files but have to run it through a special tools called 60gigabytifier to make it compatible with the 60GB, then use the 60GB firmware upgrader to modify the firmware.
