hi there, this is my first post but i've already found all kinds of useful things in this forum
i'm finally going to have to sell out and get an mp3 player. I was going to get a new Creative Zen or Sansa View, but as it now seems i wont be going to america, i need to cut back on my budget... i'm seeing Creative selling refurbished Vision:M's here for £92 (still a kick in the balls though as you americans get there for $120 with a free leather case) the only thing that concerns me is the battery life...i've seen written that the Zen has 14 hours of battery life when listening to audio (which is what i'd be using it for)....to be honest, seems slightly pathetic to me :/. i just wanted to ask; how have you lot found it? enough to get you through? for everything else, seems like the vision m would suit me...and as i'm broke, it's perfect! thanks for any advice! |

Did you charge it to the max ? Or change the brightness to 10% lowest in display settings. I get it going pretty long when i do that .

Yes, hard drives do draw much more power than flash memory. Also, the ZVM's screen is more advanced than the Touch's screen, so a bit more energy usage there as well. Still, I find the battery life of my nearly-two-year-old ZVM to be perfectly adequate for my needs.
