ordering/buying a pilot off ebay?

ok im considering bidding on an 8gb pilot on ebay which will likely run around 120-130. It does not include the manual,headphones, usb cable, or software. the phones and usb cables don't bother me much but my question is what will I do about the converter? Is it the same as the one for the ns-dv? Can I use Super (c) converter and is there a specific bitrate I can use to get it to work for the pilot? Thanks

yes u can use super. i used to use it till i broke my pilot T.T

settings : video-avi, divx, 320x240 OR 320x176, 16:9, 29.97 frames, i think i used like 528 kbps

audio- mp3,44100, channels 2, 128 kbps.

when u click encode it wil like ask a question about divx, xvid and other formats. on there choose xvid

You can get a USB cable for about $5 on the web.

Headphones are not all that great to begin with, so no worries there

And the manual can be found online as a PDF file, so the paper manual can be used as fire starter

trust me assuming its a normal mini-usb cable I got PLENTY of those lying around. My lumix, ns-dv, my phone(XV6700). That's no worry.

The 8GB pilot is 159 and the 4GB 139 right now. Brand new, no possible abuse issues, all software and accessories. If the savings were closer to 50% I might consider eBay but as it is, I'd definitely buy new.

157 for the 4gb shipped. The battery life, screen quality, audio quality, and codec support. There's a few other things but I can't remember. If I don't like it I can always sell it and buy a Pilot :P

Gotcha, you know I do like the D2 quite a bit, if they ever make a slimmer version and lower their price I probably will get one

Well..price wasn't much of an issue considering I sold the Vision:w. And thickness...like I said...Vision:w :P
