Default Docking Station

'm doing research..yeah, that's it...research

If I am ever able to get this ZVM, I would like to get the docking station as well. Which cords, specifically, do I need to charge and sync at the same time. All the AC charging cords I see have the wide plug which go directly into the bottom of the player.

As far as the sync goes, just the usual USB cable?

What cords plug into that thing?

Is this the power adapter which plugs into the dock?: http://us.creative.com/products/prod...&product=15050

Does the sync adapter have the same plugs?

Thanks for your help

Default OTHER docking stations...

I am planning to purchase a Creative Zen Vision:M within the next couple of months, and I'm interested in finding a relatively inexpensive stereo dock for the player (from someone besides Creative) that doesn't suck. Any suggestions? I'm pretty much wide open here...

Ditto. But to answer your question, yes that plug goes into to adapter not the Zen. Try and keep the questions in the right topic next time.

I'll bump this back up.

I'm also interested in other docking cradles. The only one I've seen is Creative's which looks fine, but seems a little pricey.

What about Car cradles? I have yet to see anything for the Zen. I'd like to at least find something I can use to mount it in a way that cables can still plug in, even if a cradle with the connector (so cables connect to the cradle instead) isn't available. I'd like to be able to see it and reach it to skip songs etc.

As for the Creative dock, is there anywhere they sell for less than the $35-$40 as they do on Creative's site? It's the only place I've seen them for sale.

Question Docking Station Rear Photo Anyone?

Does anyone have a photo of the rear side of Creative's Docking Station showing the ports?

Default Docking Station is expensive!

The ZVM dock is far more expensive than it should be (since it's just a dongle in a different case, essentially). Anyone find it anywhere below thirty bucks?

eBay.com, Amazon.com (used would be cheapest), a Froogle.com search, and shopping.yahoo.com search

I don't know where to buy one the cheapest, but those are my tips to help you find it. Also obtain coupons for the store(s). They will make the price lower for you.

yeah, i tried amazon and froogle, but that still won't net me anything below thirty bucks. and they don't exist on ebay, kinda like how you can't find a dongle on ebay either.

Really?! I saw a couple times a docking station was be bidding on... But that must be a long time ago.

Well, try use rebates, coupons, discounts, etc. when you can.

Sorry for the lack of help.

Default Docking station/Sync adapter questions

I actually own a Zen Sleek Photo, but I understand the connection is the same and mine will fit "slightly wobbly but good enough) into the ZVM dock. Since I seem to have just missed the $9.99 Sleek dock from creative's clearance area, I have to find an alternative.

So say I get a ZVM dock or Sync adapter (probably the latter since it is cheaper) do I have to use a special cable to get audio out, or just any old 1/8" to rca unit? Also, will I be able to use that output, along with charging from my AC adapter, but NOT use USB? I'm planning on using it with my living room system.

Thanks!

Default Sync Adapter VS Docking Station

Hello,

I have both and I am curious to find out the difference between the two. They both can charge, sync, and transfer files at the same time. Also on Creative website they claim the Docking Station is adjustable but I don't see how? So what is the difference between the two? I sent a few emails to Creative regarding this and it seems like a bot is answering my emails because they do not answer all my question or avoid some of them. So far its just been a run around.

http://www.creative.com/products/pro...14485&bypass=1

Thanks for the help and time.

Ok, I have both and they are identical in function.
With the dock tho' the Zen sits upright. The only way you can adjust this is by turning it around (duh) or i suppose you could use blue tack underneath it to change the angle.

Bottom line, both do exactly the same job, but one does it upright

cheers
