I was watching a movie and i shut off my player while in the movie. The shutdown screen popped up for 2 seconds and then went away, my player froze completely except the movie was sstill playing. I reset my player, and after the library rebuilt my videos, pictures, and a third of my music library was gone, despite the fact that under information the space is still taken up. I have tried resestting my player serveral times and nothing comes back.
When i plug it into the computer the task window will come up and it will charge but it is not recogized in anything, windows media, zen explorer, under mycomputer, or creative media source! What should i do? |

You must be running some really old firmware in that player! I have heard of this being a problem with the 1.10.xx and 1.20.xx firmware, but not since.
Anyways, whatever crashed your player also destroyed your player's database. If you're lucky, a Disk Cleanup will set things straight again; but I think you're looking at a full reformat. In either case, you need to boot to Recovery Mode to access those options. Once you've got the player working and being recognized again, update that firmware!
